KALAKPA SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT

  1. A project by the Kalapka Club with support from the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO)

  2. Planting for food and jobs under the government’s Medium-term National Policy Framework (MTNDPF)

  3. The Food and Agriculture Sector Development Policy (FASDEP) and Ghana Poverty Reduction Strategy (GPRS1)

  4. Provision of architectural services for a new community center and housing in the Kalapka National Park

CARBON OFFSETTING(Plan Vivo)

  1. Working with Plan Vivo on behalf of UNDP

  2. Preparation of the strategic management programme for the rehabilitation and implementation of 2400 Sq. km of the Volta sub-tropical forest and the degraded farmlands in the region.

  3. This work will be directed by EMTL from Edinburgh, with collaborative community led projects and consultation work being undertaken by our Ghanaian team with capacity building by our select senior consultants.

  4. We recognise that our plans are highly ambitious but are scaled to both the challenges and opportunities in Ghana’s potential to make a major contribution globally through the scope of its vast regeneration  potential inherent in its distressed underperforming forestry and agriculture resources.
